We are so glad you are here. We hope that our story will help you learn more about who we are, where we come from and the life we've built together.
Our Story
We originally met in middle school and have many fun memories growing up together through high school. However, it wasn't until a mutual friend invited us both to a gathering during our college years that we had an opportunity to connect again. We had so much fun together, that we went out again dancing the next night! We began to date even though I lived in South Carolina, and Mike lived in Minnesota. That's over 1200 miles! After a few months of dating, Mike took a leap of faith and moved to South Carolina.
In 2018 we got married in a beautiful barn wedding in Minnesota with all of our closest family and friends around us. Together we love to go on road trips, gather with family & friends, go to concerts, and be outdoors. We also take time to appreciate the little things like rainy days, coffee dates, game nights, and snuggling with the fur babies.
Mike grew up in a close knit community near Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has one younger brother who still lives in Minnesota and his mother lives in South Carolina about 10 minutes away. Sadly, his father passed away in 2021 from COVID complications. He is now an Uncle to Stephanie's three nieces and enjoys spending time with them. Mike's parents always taught the importance of family, honesty and passion. He attributes his drive to always keep learning to his father.
Through out his childhood, athletics and academics were a big part of his life, and he loves to be outdoors and active. Hunting, fishing, camping and hiking are some of his favorite activities. Cooking is also a staple of his childhood, and his favorite foods include pasta, steak, and sweets. He graduated high school in 2009 and went on to The University of Wisconsin - River Falls to graduate with a degree in Business Administration.
How Mike thinks of Stephanie
"Stephanie is honest, and compassionate. She always gives her all to achieve the goals she sets for herself. Stephanie is a great wife, and mother to all of our fur babies. She's the best partner that I could ask for, always considerate and understanding. She pushes me to be a better person and to always chase my dreams. We share so many interests; our favorite foods, types of music, and our love of animals. Stephanie is truly my best friend.
Stephanie is going to be a great mother. The love she has for our nieces is unparalleled and she would do anything for them. She is patient, kind, and is always a great listener. She wants nothing more than to be a mom, and I can't wait for her, and us, to be parents."

Stephanie grew up in the same small town as Mike. She has one younger sister. Her parents have been married for 42 years, and she is now an Aunt to three amazing nieces! Family has always been very important to her, and regardless of where she's been in life she keeps them as a top priority.
Her favorite time of the year is Fall and to watch all the leaves turn colors. She loves the outdoors and to stay active, but also loves to cuddle up inside with a blanket, and good book. Her favorite foods include sushi, tacos, and anything chocolate. She graduated high school in 2009 and went on to Strayer University graduating with a degree in Business Administration.
How Stephanie thinks of Mike
"Mike is a wonderful husband and partner. He is my rock and I constantly think about how grateful I am that we found each other. He is compassionate, kind and the strong one who keeps my dreamer soul steady. If I ever doubt myself or get discouraged, he is always there to meet me where I am. He's loyal and honest and I know he will make an awesome dad.
I love this man and can't imagine my life without him. We talk all the time about the bond we share and how it is truly once in a lifetime. I am so excited about the journey of becoming parents, and can't wait to watch Mike learn and grow as a father."
Meet Our Support Network
OUR HOME & COMMUNITY
In 2020 we purchased our dream home! We live in a colonial style 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house on 4.8 acres just outside of Newberry, SC.
We spend a lot of time in the kitchen because cooking is one of our favorite things to do together, and we are currently enjoying fresh veggies from our garden. We are also in the process of renovating our barn and next on the list is re-building our back deck! It has always been a dream of ours to have a hobby farm, and we would love our future children to help us pick out farm animals once they are settled in or old enough. We have two bedrooms ready and waiting to be decorated with their style. We have a big tree house in the back that was here when we moved in and couldn't help but purchase a trampoline, which our nieces love to play on.
We live in a great community with access to the resources of a big capital city, as well as the benefits of living in a small town. In the city of Columbia there are many things to do for kids including;

There are also many parks and trails near where we live which is great to get everyone out doors. Stephanie's parents live on Lake Murray, with their own boat & jet ski's, so we often visit their house in the summer to cool down.
Steph's favorite thing about their house is the firefly's that come out in the summer! Mike's favorite thing is how peaceful it is to be outside of the city.
